The second round (A+U)
The second round takes the form of an oral interview in order to verify the knowledge and artistic prerequisites of the applicant for the study of Architecture and Urbanism. Invited will be only those candidates whose total sum of points obtained from the first round was in the range from 300 to 649 points.
The interview will focus on the portfolio of selected works of the applicant. The selection consists of a set of author's home- or school-works (selection of max. 20 works of A3 or A2 size in the field of graphic, art and sculptural production). The content of the portfolio is left to the individual choice of the applicant. The portfolio may also include photo documentation.
The portfolio must contain the applicant's solemn declaration of authorship of the submitted works.

Field of study: Design
The first round (D)
The first round consists of a 1-day talent test composed of three parts – a linear pencil model-drawing, modelling and a test.
Linear drawing: Applicants in this section must demonstrate skill-set in a pencil model-drawing, which requires the correct display of proportions and shapes as well as the correct art and graphic expression of the visually perceived reality in the provided format. This part consists of a still-life drawing (time: 60 minutes) and a drawing of a head – plaster bust in a life-size on A3 formats (time: 60 minutes). Drawings can be linear, tinted or cross-hatched.
Modelling: Second task examines modelling skills when designing a mass-produced object of applied art on a given topic. The applicant is required to prepare a design of the object and then to model it out of clay. The exam is mainly focused on creativity, the ability to work with clay, the correct display and perception of proportions and shapes (time: 195 minutes).
The test: It consists of 2 parts.
Part a) Practical test of creativity. The task is supposed to verify the applicant’s ability of spatial thinking and his/her basic knowledge in descriptive geometry, imaging and craftsmanship skills. (Applicants are designing and manufacturing in a real-time. Material used is cardboard, time: 135 minutes).
Part b) Test of general knowledge in the field of design, architecture and art. It is based on knowledge acquired from the high school curriculum (e.g. high school subjects Art and Culture, Literature, History) as well as on a broad cultural overview of the applicant.
