The Slovak-American Foundation calls for spring 2013 applications in the Professional Internship Program and the Research Scholar Program with a deadline of October 15, 2012.
Bratislava, Slovakia – September 6, 2012 – The Slovak-American Foundation (SAF) inaugurated now more than a year ago concluded three very successful application rounds with a high number of applications. The SAF program generated a great interest both in the Professional Internship Program and the Research Scholar Program.
The Professional Internship Program is open for university students and recent graduates with a focus on entrepreneurship, providing a scholarship of up to $30,000 USD to spend up to 12 months in the U.S.
The Research Scholar is open for professors and academic researchers with a focus on entrepreneurship, providing a scholarship up to $60,000 USD to spend up to 12 months in the U.S.
Altogether 19 deserving graduate students were selected since the inception of the Slovak-American Foundation in business and engineering demonstrating a strong entrepreneurial focus, and SAF is looking forward to more excellent candidates, primarily from district universities.Host Organizations are highly reputable American corporations and organizations, such as American Airlines, AON, Voith Hydro, Security Innovation Network, Kurt Salmon, Lloyds TSB Bank, and Nike Communications.
The first group of award recipients is bound to return to the Slovak Republic later this year.
The programs of the Slovak-American Foundation are managed by CIEE: Council on International Educational Exchange.
Application deadline: October 15, 2012, decision notifications by December 15, 2012. Successful applicants depart in the spring of 2013.
